@Self The string '\\u00ed' contains two characters, a backslash and the Unicode escape sequence \u00ed. And that's why your attempt using .replace() didn't work.

This is my function and I want to apply function on list of dataframe
data['loc_max'] = np.zeros(len(data))

for i in range(1,len(data)-1):
if data['value'][i] >= data['value'][i-1] and data['value'][i] >= data['value'][i+1]:
data['loc_max'][i] = 1

return data

df_list = [df.pipe(maxloc) for df in data]
