In my last image manipulating programs in JS and Rust, I was able to get rid of imagemagick. The alternatives aren't as fast or complete but they're now usable. And so much safer and easier to package and compile

I've been using ringtls instead of openssl with reqwest/tungstenite, so nice not to have to wonder which version the server you ship the binary to will have. And with baked in certificates (webpki), that's another variable you don't have to worry about either.
@DenysSéguret For good reasons, imho. rustls e.g. can still produce some very weird error messages. I had some fun debugging a situation with a locally signed IP address based certificate. Ended up giving up and switching to openssl…
