@Stargateur The Arch experience. I’ve been busy with installing NixOS today and so far it’s interesting. From what I’ve heard it unfortunately doesn’t work that well with rustup and other such tools that manage versions.

writing actual tests against your API will tell you everything

when they break... it means you broke it!

yeah I get the idea because someone open an issue saying a function diseppear but test coverage of nom is 80%

you will eventually miss one anyway

and can be fix simply with a patch release

If you have every item covered in tests, you have to decide when you merge a change if the change is ok to be breaking

yeah was my idea for the "last end test" but in fact make more sense the way you describe
