I'm not sure what you're trying to get with the comment, but you're calling out a totally different group (moderators) where a user downvoted your post. More often the case is that your answer wasn't helpful to another user. Bare in mind that downvotes costs someone a rep point to cast as well.

as I see it...S.O. has a user base which is bullish on new users and doesn't encourage you as a starter, I see people downvote or upvote just by looking at the someone's reputation count even if the answer was copied from somewhere else on the web

@Anirudh That's not true. What gave you that signal? Our meta posts effectively encourages catching plagiarism.

There's also "Close as Duplicate", which links posts to ones with upvoted answers, effectively directing users to finding posts easier.

@bummi Flagged answers goes through the community review queue if it's not accepted, if it's accepted, it goes through the mod queue.

Because empirically accepted answers are valuable bla bla bla. So they can only be deleted by moderators. You can't even delete your own answers when they're accepted.

I did read it, but as father of one daughter and three sons, seeing the different interests though providing the same stimulation for wide areas, I'm not sure if it is not yet a genetic predisposition, though I would welcome more female programmer.
