you removed 2 admins and turned the room to private .. initial impression to him was you are kinda backstabbing other owners. he is wrong though but you guys need to explain that to him.
On SDK version 23 and up, your app data will be automatically backed up, and restored on app install. Your GCM regid will not work across restores, so you must ensure that it is excluded from the back-up set. Use the attribute android:fullBackupContent to specify an @xml resource which configures which files to backup
@Dev you can save it in separate shared preferences and exlude that prefrence from auto backup on when app run if gcm id not exist than generate new one and update server
