@Dharman It is, yeah - it's not clear to me if they're asking about Unity or conventional Android development. People seem to have given both answers.

@HenryEcker oh, I meant to mention - I asked one of the es.SO mods and they were receptive to the idea of mentioning the other network sites.

So we could ask each of the sites at some point and then add whichever ones want it. Or just add them all if the mods are okay with it, and see if it sends them too many bad questions.

(okay, I just spammed all the mods on all the foreign-language SO sites to ask)

@RyanM Thanks. My second point in my answer still applies IMO. There's a lot of languages where those links will not apply. That said, if they want the referrals we can see what we can do. Idk if [so.ru] etc works in the close dialogue markdown or not...

Anyone else come across a bug in the reopen queue: When you select to "Leave closed", then, for the reason, change to "Does not meet a Stack Overflow guideline", even when you have then selected one of the radio-buttons in that second popup and hit "Keep closed", you get a pink popup: You must select a reason before submitting.

I've had this at least twice in the past few days ... You can try here to change the close reason to "Typo".

@CertainPerformance I agree, but hesitate to flag that one, small chunk of answer declined flag for flags should not be used to indicate technical inaccuracies. May be undo everything give some clue . I am not domain export so hesitate for that. Blame me, I am so sensible for declined flag.

I don't know enough sql-server to know this. Is this answer which adds use [DatabaseName] and GO a duplicate of this old answer?

Seems reasonable. But I reckon skipping was still the right thing for me to do, since I personally could be sure the new answer added anything meaningful. I added a comment though asking the author how the answer differed from the previous answers.

@CertainPerformance Okay. I knew there was a special meaning of "working" in React. I just was more asking if an experienced user would be reasonably infer what it meant. Which I assumed was no (which is why I VTC as unclear)

Post was deleted in the Staging Ground and re-posted on the main site. That user didn't respond to any of the feedback in SG which was basically just asking they clarify what a working version of their program would look like (they didn't make a single change when reposting). I was just making sure I wasn't being overly critical/missing something an expert might see.

There may not be a consensus here then. In general I consider one- or two-line code only answers that duplicate previous answers as being "Thanks" answers.

While answers that duplicate larger chunks of code would be plagiarism, an which should be flagged rather than just removed.

I can imagine why there is a difference between the LAQ and the LQA queue. If two identical answers come in at around the same time it would be unfair to delete the one that was posted say 2 minutes later.

But in this case the answer duplicates an answer from 6 years ago. I just happened to hit it in the LQP queue not the LAQ.

OK, so I found another code-only late answer that duplicates the code from an old answer in the Low Quality Answers queue: stackoverflow.com/a/74751522/3744182. Because it's in the LQA Queue not the LA Queue, I must vote "Looks OK" as shown in this meta answer? And then maybe downvote and vote to delete in a separate tab, on the answer itself?

@dbc TBH, it's a bit frustrating that we are so hung up on these small operative differences between queues, when in the end we're talking about posts that need to be deleted. However yes, if you want your reviews to be irreprehensible, you shouldn't recommend deletion on duplicated answers in LQA. Vote to delete outside of the queue.

Me, I usually "Skip" those, in LQA. It still feels wrong to me to hit "Looks OK" on something that is obviously not okay

@blackgreen That's what I eventually. I'm not going to vote "Looks OK" for a post that needs to be deleted, so I skipped and voted to delete elsewhere. Seems a bit of a waste of time though.

Think of the LQA queue as a sort of "practise for moderator". Most (not all) of the posts that get into it are sent there by someone flagging as NAA or VLQ. Now, as a mod, would you mark that flag as helpful? If so, then delete; if not (for whatever reason), it should formally be "Looks OK". (But I also skip those that are just plain bad, often casting a 'private' delete vote outside the queue.)
