@HenryEcker - I often see users reply with comments that appear canned - you just did, for example. Did you get that from somewhere? Or is it your own composition?

@Makyen don't get me wrong: my deleting of the question yesterday and the request here had nothing to do with eachother. I deleted yesterday because I don't like to have so many low-score posts on my history. I wasn't paying much attention here and I thought that it seems appropriate to add a del-pls for this one.

@user17242583 I'm not sure why you want that answer to be deleted, it seems relevant to the question. We don't typically delete answers just because they're wrong. But to answer your question, your best bet is probably to undelete your meta post. That may give the answer more visibility, and if sufficient users with the delete privilege decide it needs to be deleted, it'll get deleted.
@user17242583 it is worth mentioning that once you posted something you're no longer in control of that post as you have given SE the right to publish your (wrong) post forever. If a post is wrong, it might need to be deleted by users with that power. That it is your post and you want it deleted is irrelevant and is never a criteria to consider whether deletion is the right option for a post.
@SurajRao Looks like a comment. They seem to be replying to the answer, by mentioning the problem with small amounts of bitcoin, that's already stated in there.
@user17242583 there is a userscript which provides many canned messages; many of us also have simple keyboard macros to post something we often need to type
the system also sometimes posts a canned comment as the result of a review or etc
Damn how is SO's search so bad that if I search for "what is a debugger" it's the 9th result and none of the top 8 have the word "debugger" in the title WTF.. like how do I even search for dupes decently? Google "something something site:stackoverflow.com"? :O
@MarcoBonelli only use SE search when you exactly know what you're looking for. If you're still in "discover mode" use an external search engine to narrow your scope to known good keywords.
@SurajRao @MarcoBonelli @AdrianMole I am nuking the spam as spam (with a spam flag; a single spam flag from a moderator automatically reaches the threshold to nuke the post), and then I am, almost immediately thereafter, destroying the user account.
Often, even though I'm monitoring Charcoal, here, and other places where SD reports get posted, the spam will have been nuked by auto-flags before I get a chance to flag it. That has exactly the same effect: both show the post as having been deleted by Community. I will still destroy the user account, though.
If you don't know or can't come up with a good reason why the answer should be deleted, then I think you have the answer to your question about whether you should request its deletion. This isn't intended to be rocket science.

Why does it seem like it should be a comment? If you can explain that, then you have a delete reason.
Note that we don't delete everything that's low quality. Often times, it should be edited instead to fix the quality problems.

Really I think the whole question should be deleted, not just it's answer, because it seems unlikely to help anyone. In fact, it was closed for that reason. My main concern is that, will the question get deleted by roomba even though there's an answer?
I've converted that to a comment, as it doesn't provide a meaningful answer to the question, and the question has already been closed as typo/no-repro, so having no answers, it should be automatically removed by the Roomba.

Yeah, the idea is we don't want to delete things that might have some value to someone. An upvote would indicate that the answer had value. If it's never been upvoted, then it probably wasn't even valuable to the asker, much less anyone else, so it gets deleted.
