It isn't very likely that there's a VBA expert here but...
Is there an answer that explains what strconv (vbUnicode/vbFromUnicode) do? I can't find one.
If there isn't how do you think it would be received? ("too simple"? okay?)

I already figured it out through experimenting (<--although this is obviously subject to limitations), and the documentation https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/vba/language/reference/user-interface-help/strconv-function is terrible (there's only one string data type. What does "ANSI string" and "Unicode string" mean? "Unicode format"?)

@user202729 Each chat room here on Stack Overflow/Stack Exchange has a particular focus, which is described in the room description that's located at the top of the right-sidebar (browser), and/or the room's info page (browser and mobile version) which sometimes links to an off-site location for more information. This room has a Frequently Asked Questions page, which describes that this room is for discussing user-level moderation of posts on the main Stack Overflow site.

I understand your desire to post your messages in a room that has a lot of recent traffic, but you should resist that desire. In most rooms, people tend to react negatively, sometimes very negatively, when an unknown person comes in and asks about something that's not on-topic for the room, particularly if it's quite a bit off-topic. Prior to posting in any room, I strongly recommend you read the room's description and any FAQ or other information page(s) linked from the description.

Overall, this isn't the right room for what you are asking about. You might want to try looking at the list of rooms on Stack Overflow Chat, and/or the list of rooms on Stack Exchange Chat. Those pages have a search function, which might help you find a room that's appropriate for what you want.

@Makyen Huh, I thought "look for a duplicate" request are okay. Last time I ask people to look for a duplicate (in Python?) works somewhat well, although I might have misremembered.

I was under the impression that the Does the Q ban algorithm takes into account only the newest questions (last X weeks or something), however I saw a user where the last 60 questions (two pages) over the last two months or so weren't greatly received. Does the algorithm perhaps take more into account? This is an otherwise high rep user, so perhaps that appeases the algorithm.

@VLAZ It does not have a time cutoff for what it looks at - there are many instances of very old questions contributing to Q-bans.

@tripleee per my experience 9 days roomba has rather firm schedule (as opposed to 30- and 365-days). Script runs every day at some specific time (I forgot which one exactly) for few minutes and performs all the eligible removals. Maintenance possibly could have blocked it though, and it is indeed worth re-checking next day

@tripleee I'm aware that there was no CSS or JS in 1990. But it is about the internetspeed. we not on 56k dial-in lines where you even need to leave the internet when faxing.

@tripleee you miss the point... It is an expression that unlike the early times of the internet you not need to put an efford to save every unecessary single bit of code today anymore. The internet today is fast enough that it makes no real difference if a file is 2mb or 2.01mb large

@user202729 It sounds like I significantly misunderstood what you were asking. I'm sorry about that. Asking for a duplicate target here is fine, but it's not all that common to do so; it's not rare for it to happen, but relatively low occurrence.

To me, what I was responding to sounds like "I have a problem. Does anybody know an answer to my problem that explains <this thing>? Although, I've already figured it out through experimentation, I still have some questions."

Another time, when asking for a duplicate target, it would have been helpful to explicitly state that's what you're looking for. It also helps to link to the question for which you're wanting the duplicate-target, as subject mater experts may find that the details of the question matter in determining which dup-target is best.

Well the question is how to add an image to a comment and the answer just says you need an image link and add it to a comment with a link to a real-estate site similar to the username... Definitely spam

I had to make my own CVR generator with Google Sheets, since I can't install stuff on the machine I'm on.

@Mgetz I'm the one who "fixed" it. It had an extra soft return, which caused chat Markdown formatting to not be applied. I assumed that fixing it was something you'd desire. I'm happy to return it to the original version, if that's what you'd prefer.

@Mgetz Sure. It's not really an issue either way, IMO. So long as the tag is right, and the link is to the actual question, members can process the request. Also, the cleanup script will get to it, so it's fine. Go with whichever you find convenient (or less error-prone).

@Mgetz Unfortunately, the bookmarklet in SOCVR's userscript GitHub repository hasn't been updated since a couple/few significant changes in the page HTML/CSS were made by SO, which will have resulted in breaking it. It hasn't been updated due to both limited developer resources and assigning it a low priority, as those who had been known to be using it were no longer participating in SOCVR. If someone is going to be using it (i.e. you), then it will get a higher priority.

@Dharman Hard to say but I assume yes they should just put the <app-custom-component [(ngModel)]="multivalue"></app-custom-component> code in the answer itself.

They just linked to a stackblitz for a runnable demo since Angular can't really be demo'd via a Stack Snippet
