If the Question was mine, I'd probably not want to accept an Answer that forgot attribution :)

There is an answer which is a copy/paste of an existing answer (from a different question). The newer answer also contains a link to the original, so there is some form of attribution. Not sure if it's worth a mod flag. Is the newer answer eligible for a del-pls?

Meta seems to be divided on this. Some say it's fine as long as there's attribution. Others say it's not and that an answer can't just be a quote due to "Do not copy the complete text of external sources, use their words and ideas to support your own." from How to reference material written by others

@VLAZ I usually custom flag answers that consist entirely of copied material. They're typically deleted. Here's a recent example (10k link)

@Scratte The answerer was new and didn't know about the ability to flag as duplicate. That was resolved in the comments but the answer stays.

@RyanM OK, I thought it wasn't a mod-flag thing. But if you say it's fine, I'd do that.

Yeah, just posted it and added the link. Although the link already exists in the answer. Thought it's already a dupe answer, why not add a dupe link in the flag. Duplicates all around.

@VLAZ They usually do. I've found that if I close-flag the Question against the duplicate, the Answer goes missing. I assume someone flags it :) Maybe it's Ryan :P

@VLAZ I was mostly responding to Scratte there. I just flag things and if the OP beats a moderator to deleting it, then they save the mod some work :-)

@Scratte It could be me :-) especially if it's just a link to the answer that they didn't bother even copy-pasting. I definitely flag those on sight.

@Scratte that's still 2 hours after the user was told about how flagging as duplicate is the appropriate course of action and the newly educated user did actually flag the Q.

Well, it was a place to drink. But also had vertical pieces of construction. It's raised above the sea. It's an actual pier. So...both?

But I'm pretty sure the name belonged only to the drinking place. Not the construction pieces.

I guess it also had horizontal pieces of construction. Again - an actual pier.

Reputation doesn't necessarily indicate familiarity with the moderation side of the site.

Yep, rep is a pretty poor indicator. Badges might provide a better clue, especially the moderation-wise badges.
