@bad_coder this post is too old to qualify for a cv-pls, and if you think it's a bad question that warrants closing, it probably warrants a downvote: you could always downvote it and it would be deleted by roomba.

@bad_coder Our limit for required "recent activity" for cv-pls requests is 6 months. This question is closer to 8 months. Please see FAQ #11. Is there some other activity that is not obvious from the question page?

@Makyen The question had the documentation tag which I was about to remove per tag-wiki instruction (question about python-sphinx dispense the documentation tag). But then I thought it would be more appropriately closed as a recommendation request (the authors original intent wasn't a "how to" that would allow for editing). Then I thought of the Roomba, but flagging the last comment seemed potentially risky. So I thought the soundest approach was posting here.

@bad_coder There were a variety of ways to dispose of the question. Some have already been covered here. You've mentioned a few. People also might have been willing to let the activity requirement slid if you explained in the request, etc.

Hey guys, a small doubt, I was lurking around on meta and came across this answer.

There is a point in the answer: Can I simply create a new account?... To which, the reply is You could create a new account, but doing so violates the rules for operating multiple accounts - namely, it allows you to do something you would otherwise be restricted from doing. Penalties for violating this restriction can vary. What if the person deletes the original account and then creates a new one?

@d4rk4ng31 Your question is explicitly answered under the section to which you are referring. I'd add that it's common for moderators to give suspensions to those users who are attempting to get around imposed restrictions. Such suspensions are usually for at least as long as the restriction which the user is attempting to get around (i.e. such that the user at least gains nothing from attempting to get around the restriction).

@d4rk4ng31 Stack overflow has stated that it is permanent by IP, it is lower level than account. For more see meta.stackexchange.com/a/86998. That was originally written nearly 10 years ago so they might have changed or improved their ban algorithm.

@d4rk4ng31 On Meta Stack Overflow, or Meta Stack Exchange. Meta Stack Overflow is for both things that are Stack Overflow specific Stack Exchange Network wide problems/issues. However, as the name implies it's primarily focused on Stack Overflow. Meta Stack Exchange is for things which affect the entire Stack Exchange Network, and not for things which affect only one site (e.g. not for Stack Overflow specific issues).

But it is shared: What triggers my title rejection?. That particular title is exactly 40 characters long, but e.g. . is removed at the end of a title. If the regex matches before the dot is removed, the regex would still fail to reject the title. — user4642212 1 min ago

@d4rk4ng31 Honestly, you haven't explained the democratic idea sufficiently for me to have a reasonable opinion, other than a strong wonder about how that could work. For the other: adding additional entries to the blocklist and/or updating the current ones is a reasonable thing to do, if it gets us better question titles and doesn't prevent titles which we want to be able to have. However, again, your proposal, so far, isn't clear enough for me to know exactly what you're wanting to block

OP realizes his mistake and admits this in the comments and a question edit. All 3 wrong answers upvoted at least once, so they're not likely to be removed.

@d4rk4ng31 The blocklist entries are regular expressions. That's very unlikely to change. Even if it would be changed, how do you propose to have a list of titles to block? Are you going to list every possible bad title (and yes, a list can be implemented as a regex, but that not a very efficient way of doing so)?
