@IanCampbell I've been pulled-up for doing just that, and I wasn't especially happy about the tone of the comment (in my case - which was rather harsher). That's why I chose to run it through here.

Some people might argue I'm feeding help vampires by doing this, but eh.

I doubt those people are the same ones trying to reopen questions.

I might argue it's good manners to point them in the right direction in a comment.

I chose not to give a reopen vote. Possibly dodging my duties (I can no longer 'reject' it from the queue) but the question was poor and the comment-answer was enough.

@RyanM What I meant is that I can no longer vote to leave closed (i.e. reject the reopen request). I'm now out of quota for today.

oh I see, I thought it was because you couldn't get back to the review. I misunderstood.

I think the [android] tag lowers my question quality standards. I can easily spend 50 CVs a day on worse questions than that.

I've actually voted Leave Open on at least one that you voted to close (I don't recall which) :-p but I appreciate the extra reviews :D

My issue is primarily with the comment, which is sort of kinda vaguely throwing a snarky remark at another commentator. Maybe I'm too sensitive? In the personal case I mentioned earlier, I was accused of "trying to dodge the peer-review system."

Part of the inspiration for my comment about my standards, actually.

Also kind of nonsense. Sure, you're dodging the peer review system...by not...answering. That's why you don't get rep for comments.

@RyanM On that issue: I have no problem at all with other reviewers and I making different choices (except in really blatant cases). That's the nature of how we think, and why close/delete/reopen requests are based on consensus.

@AdrianMole +1, I agree completely. That was partly why I added that I appreciate the extra reviews. People in here (or elsewhere) shouldn't hesitate to tell me if they think I'm wrong about something. I appreciate the perspective, and I've been convinced a few times I got something wrong the first time.

Yep! But I actually surprise myself sometimes when I look through my review history (rene's script) and see that, in the large majority of cases, I actually follow the consensus. Makes me feel that I may actually have found somewhere full of "Fellow Msrtians."
