@Makyen I can't be sure that the audits always add/substitute-in the filtered tag, but it has happened in all the ones I can remember. Just a couple of hours ago, I got two audits while filtering on documentation in the CV queue and for both of them the tag was added.

@robinCTS Yeah, I had thought that it did. I've just noticed multiple times in the last several days when filtering on documentation that it hasn't been added. Maybe I'm noticing it more because the the questions are so distinctly different.

@DragandDrop Could be "no mcve". If there are multiple errors, I also use "too broad" or "unclear". Users are expected to understand a specific and correct answer to their specific question. If they don't this tyically results in duscussion/help-vampirism.

Question for you guys. I have a user who (now is serial downvoting me), for rejecting a bulk of his suggestions, mostly because they are insignificant and just change certain words to bold, etc... He's squeaking by because the new system allows 2 votes to approve, as well as OP accepting because they think it's a good edit. I've tagged a moderator, and he appears to have gotten a review ban, but now he's back at it.

I'm not mad or trying to target him specifically, I'd just like to educate this user. Should I just let the mods handle it? I'd like to try and teach him/self improve.

Your're really an optimist, aren't you? ;-) (For borderline edits I check the reps/number of edits of that user; if they're low, I tend to accepting, otherwise to rejecting. The higher the reps, the better edits should be.

Discussion question: I came across a question today on a topic I've answered before - and I'm confident my solution would work here. New question is better worded than the old. Old question has no upvotes, only my answer (1 upvote) - not accepted. What's the best action for me to take?

@FrankerZ I'm sorry but when I started doing edits, I skipped the questions that only needed a code formatting (few line of codes) because I knew my edit would be rejected. In my opinion, THAT hurts the site, because code well formatted is easy to read and to understand quickly.

So rejecting an edit because there's not enough work done is really not a good rejection cause. I understand rejecting small part of code formatting edits when there's a lot of other errors in the post but not when there's only the code to edit.

@krlzlx I don't understand how a "few line of codes" could make the post substantially more easy to read/understand. If it's bad enough to make your eyes hurt when reading it, then absolutely, submit those changes, and I'll approve them.

@krlzlx They are not rejected per-se. But a single, minor edit is simply pointless and does not improve quality a bit. What might be rejected are edits to questions which have much more severe problems than just the formatting of the code. Edits on such off-topic questions just provide no improvement, hence they should be rejected.

I've found 17 (maybe more...) questions all asking the same thing, with none of the answers particularly helpful. I could write a canonical answer to one of them, but I think they need to be closed as duplicates first so that it is easy to find. Is this the write place to help with this? It might be better to find the "best" one (might be the best worded or most general, or the oldest or one with most points) and start closing the rest with that target

@tburrows13 Developing a canonical is more appropriate in the room for the specific language (e.g. Python), and/or from a meta post. What I've seen from other meta posts is a suggestion to get people in the language specific room involved. Basically, creating a canonical requires significantly more domain-specific knowledge than this room is focused on. You'll have to choose if you want to use a current question, or make a new one. Making a new one is often suggested (on Meta).

at first I almost fell into a trap of just using a dictionary for the registers, it would have made a register named 1 with value 0 :P

I always sanitize the input when checking "values". If you are number use the number, if you're a letter look up the register value.
