Hi guys, I need help to view my deleted question. I've deleted the question about 3,5 years ago. I did try to search it in my profile by clicking 'deleted recent questions', but it's empty there. I also tried to search the question using the link from my 'peer pressure' badge, but it didn't help either. I couldn't search in my browser history since I've changed my PC. Is there a way to view it?
@Anastasiya-Romanova秀 The badge doesn't say what it was awarded for, and the public profile only lists undeleted questions. Does stackoverflow.com/search?q=deleted%3A1 help?
@Anastasiya-Romanova秀 Each user's "recent" deleted questions/answers page shows posts deleted < 60 days ago. The badge page doesn't show us a link to the question. With >10k rep you can search for your own deleted posts, but not those by anyone else. Only moderators can search for deleted posts which are not their own.
@Anastasiya-Romanova秀 You can contact moderators by: A) Raising a custom moderator flag on one of your own posts. Be sure to describe exactly which post you want. B) Alternately, post a question on Meta. You should probably read Show all of my question/answers to me even if they are deleted for some background.
@Anastasiya-Romanova秀 When you looked at your reputation, was there a checkbox at the bottom of the page that was "show removed posts" and did you click on that checkbox?
@Anastasiya-Romanova秀 If you click on that checkbox your reputation page should show the changes that are a result of deleted posts, which will have a link to the post that was deleted. From the date the badge was awarded, you'd be looking for Mar 9 '14, which would be around page 4, or so. You will need to expand the changes for that day, and perhaps earlier ones.
@Makyen I did. But there is something strange here. I received my Association Bonus on Apr 19, 2014 but I got the Peer Pressure badge on Mar 9, 2014. Why the delay?
@Anastasiya-Romanova秀 Your Stack Overflow account existed from (at least) 2014-03-09, when you created/deleted that question. You did not have enough reputation on any SE site to get the association bonus, until 2014-04-19, when you gained enough reputation on Mathmatics, at which point the association bonus was awarded on all sites for which you already had an account.
I put a bunch of documentation questions in the queue - searching "[documentation] closed:no tool" shows a large number of unclosed recommendation questions as well
Updated Documentation tag cleanup page, adding section for 1-2 CV questions. Either the many w/ 3-4 votes have gotten closed, or the votes aged off - but just two of those left atm.
@EJoshuaS That's one of some 100+ documentation questions with 1+ del votes. (first vote was mine on that one) No Need to request specific del-pls on tags we're doing cleanup or burnination on, same as for cv-pls.
@Mogsdad FYI: With the link to a question and cv-pls and del-pls as actual tags, that message appears to be a both types of request, which will be auto-archived.
@Mogsdad I wouldn't have much of a problem with it if it was checking that the cv-pls and/or del-pls were actually as tags: cv-pls and cv-pls, but the stock version of the archiver picks up messages where those are in code format, which is often used to explain the format to people. It also picks up cv-pls/del-pls in text format. The alpha/beta version ignores the tag/text if it's in code format.

Is there a tool that will automatically generate release notes by scanning the text of all code submissions in three different source control systems? Need urgently. Tanks in advantage!

In our common auto-comments, for link-only answers, we say, "A link to a potential solution is always welcome..." It strikes me that this is ironic, as it typically follows upon flagging the answer as NAA, or "unwelcome".
@Mogsdad I've also felt that it's a bit off. How about something like: "A link to a potential solution is always welcome as a comment or to supplement a complete answer, but ..."

@Mogsdad That's definitely the correct canonical for determining what should be flagged as NAA (i.e. for those moderating posts). However, it doesn't really explain things from the point of view of someone writing an answer. The link which the current comment has is more targeted towards people who are writing an answer. If we also have some of the other text which is in the current auto-comment about deletion, then both links could be used.
@Makyen Agreed, I've retained that previous link. First use in the wild. (Although I disagree wrt deletion part - I've had too many people argue it in comments. Leave that to the meta posts.)
@Mogsdad While having the [edit] link is good, "Please [edit] your answer to add some explanation, including the assumptions you've made" isn't focused on the current issue. It appears to have been copy-&-pasted from the code-only answer comment (i.e. some explanation in addition to code). I'm more in favor of keeping text mentioning that link-only is a possible reason for deletion and/or that links can go dead (linkrot), or at least re-wording the [edit] to focus on the current issue.
So... In addition, other users tend to respond negatively to answers which are barely more than a link to an external site, and they [might be deleted](help/deleted-answers).
@Mogsdad I thought you were experiencing issues with mentioning deletion. I'm fine with stating it, as it's both what happens to link-only answers, and what is supposed to happen to such answers. The wording feels a bit awkward, though.
@Mogsdad That you're talking about the external site being deleted (linkrot) is completely unclear to me, given the link to help/deleted-answers
@Mogsdad I tend to be verbose, so I'm not the best judge of that. However, as long as we're imparting relevant information, it's reasonable to have a longer comment (particularly with links to further info). If there wasn't a desire to help the OP learn what the issues are, then there'd be no need to leave a comment: Just flag NAA and move on. If the answerer doesn't bother to read through a < 600 character comment specifically directed at them, then there's not a lot of hope of them learning.

@robinCTS A post comment was probably the wrong place for a conversation about content of an auto-comment. The 50 rep limit is in the linked help page, so my preference would be to limit the words in the autocomment.

I think what irks me most, is when I put a lot of effort into explaining my answer and detailing why it works the way it works and how, only to have the asker say something along the lines of "This looks like a good answer, but I can't understand any of it, how do I implement your solution on my site <link to site>"
And all the questions in violation are now closed. Burninated! \o/

Well, I just found out that this entire warehouse is being powered by one electrical outlet on a single 15amp breaker with ~15 extension cords (each with a power bar on the end of it)
I bought an older house a couple of years ago. The previous owner had 20amp GFCIs on a 15 amp light circuit he had spliced into
The local fire inspectors won't let us have "permanent" extension cords either. I had one they threw a fit over. Put a 25ft surge protector in to meet code
We had a cutting machine for a while that required 540v IIRC. Had to have a step-up transformer. Thing annoyed me because it had a PC plug that was 230v
Thankfully most PSUs are auto-sense now. But I fried one forgetting the toggle one time.

Well the moral of the story is that an extra 32,000 btu heater is just too much.
Here we have 3 houses on one pole-mounted transformer, each house gets a 240V-to-neutral phase each.
We are the blue house, or at least we were until the colour code was changed to brown, black and grey and so make the phases unidentifiable;(

@MartinJames When I was managing the service department at the local motorsports dealership the technician who did all of the electrical work was colorblind. Guess what the most common question i heard every day was.
@MartinJames it turned out with the older color scheme not enough mistakes were made, causing less work, unemployment, efficiency. The brown, black and grey solved all that. I have to look it up but I wouldn't be surprised if the Iron Lady herself proposed the color scheme for the better of all of you.
In the CV-queue, didn't it used to be that audits added/substituted-in at least one of the tags you're filtering on? When filtering on documentation in the CV-queue, I'm finding it strange that the audits don't add the documentation tag to the question's tags. Not even bothering to add the tag being filtered makes the audits very obvious. I thought this might be a result of a userscript, but the tag still wasn't there after reloading the page with userscripts turned off.
