Well, I have a semi-working bot that checks for low english word count in questions. Now I just need to implement it on answers as well, to watch for people just posting code

Just curious, is there a punishment if you delete too many posts or posts that have accepted/upvoted answers

I know you can trigger a question ban if you delete a lot of downvoted posts. Don't know how much the votes factor into that equation though.

With less than 10k rep, the only posts I can delete are my own. That was how I read the question.

Finally found it: The only way to get question-banned by deleting questions is if you get in the habit of deleting them after someone has taken the time to answer them

So the FAQ explains how to use cv-pls and to use it sparingly. I suspect there's a lot of tribal knowledge about when to use it though. For example, would this be an appropriate use? (I admit I'm not exactly impartial on that post)

You can’t delete answers that have been accepted.

You can’t delete your own question when it:

has an upvoted answer, or
has an accepted answer, or
has multiple answers (even if there are no upvotes)
You can’t delete any of your questions or answers if you haven’t registered your account (that is, associated an OpenID with it).

That would imply that the only way to lose rep by a question being deleted is if a moderator does it.

If someone can't delete their question if an answer is accepted or upvoted or etc why can people still do it?

Maybe they can't. Maybe a moderator deleted it.

One of the major problems right now is the amount of low-quality questions, some worse than others. I need to filter out the not as bad ones

I could also integrate a system so you ask a question and it searches for dupes

There should be a comment system for smoke detector. I was called an ass the other day for pointing an error is someones code the other day

comments are second class citizens. If you found a rude comment, just flag it.

No. The point of the bot is to find low quality questions and answers, then alert people of them so they will be close-voted and sent to the queue
