Because the original function had embedded macros, and I wanted to double check that the paste would happen 'correctly'

Granted I only ever wrote C++ for uni classes

Yeah, I forgot macros are really just a fancy verbatim search+replace without context

You can also create a stupid macro, and just preprocess to a file instead of compiling to save yourself the typing.

Anybody who's around: could you please check if I'm being silly, or my computer is acting up or if there's a systemic problem? If you start writing a question, do you see the preview? Do writing in tags pop up suggestions? For me even the editor icons won't load...

I'm less eager to restart firefox if it's not an issue on my side:)

you can also use test for spammy sites, but again, don't do that without privileges, because you won't be able to make him remove the corresponding message later

@QPaysTaxes It has to be deleted within 20 minutes of being reported for metasmoke to get deletion timings. Although if it's deleted ~1 second after being reported, that's not enough time for the whole checking operation to occur.

the Perl and Python regex implementations provide an awful lot of access to the internals of the engine, so maybe overkill, but you should definitely look at those for inspiration

the Python docs are probably easier to grok
