About 99% of the questions are wrong. And 50% of the answers are right, give or take. Don't mess up somebody's answer, another programmer might well make the same mistake, google your question and find the answer. I think he's saying 99% of questions aren't good questions and are asking the wrong thing (for the OP), and 50% of answers are wrong for the asked question. Some of the right answers to the wrong question are good answers, but not answers to the OP's actual issue.

e.g.

Problem: My cat keeps bringing dead birds in the house.

=> Q: "How do I clean blood off my carpet?"

=> A: "Use a 50-50 mix of bleach and water" (don't actually do that).

answer is good for question, but doesn't help OP.

(I think). What goes on in Hans Passant's head is often too high-level for my small brain to fathom.
