Yay, I voted to close this one as a duplicate of this one where I've got an accepted answer. Now there is an answer on the new one which is strangely similar to mine... lol. @gunr2171 @sam @NathanOliver The title on the burnination request is set by @MadaraUchiha and he requested that it shouldn't be changed. I added that to the process guidance as well. I can see why he changed it like that, as it is not meant to be the actual burnination but it might be the start of it.

At least that is how I read it

Hi @Tunaki; I'm currently trying to trace where this idea of removing puns came from; it wasn't in the original post or any discussions I've seen, only the document there

@NathanTuggy Shog edited out the pun in the first BR we processed. Since then, it was generally taken to mean we should do likewise in future BRs.

@Sam Hmm. I guess I'm just not seeing the point of getting frustrated with anyone who thinks puns are still in; the precedence is pretty dubious

The way I see it, puns are funny but it was appropriate when BR where restricted to Meta users... This is involving the whole community and should be treated more seriously

So they were either a bad idea already, or their apparent problems aren't really all that big a deal.
