@Mogsdad Oh, definitely. The way I see it is that we can encourage people to create legit content by giving them a blank space to put it in.

I don't think it's reasonable to require an expert in the field (there's no way I can write original content for half this stuff) to get rid of plagiarism.

Well, I could fake it, but that'd probably be worse :P

Yeah, not easy, certainly. I replaced plagiarized content on the hortonworks-data-platform wiki & excerpt earlier. I'm no expert, but the new, original content defines what the tag is for & points to more info - I figure that's the bare minimum for a "good" tag wiki.

@Undo if I know what the tag means, I'm going to add my own wiki.. I am good at writing, I remember a few years back I had a tag rejected for plagiarism (i took it to meta) and it was well written so people assumed it was copied.. but I can assure you I don't do that... but reviewers can feel free to do a google check. :)

@Undo interestingly, I skip most wiki tag edit suggestions, as I figure, too hard, I'm not an expert, BUT, I will now check each one for plagiarised content and if it is reject it and link it here - if not, then skip.
