My favourite perk of my job is the fridge stocked with free food. Lately, they've started naming things in there, which is really cute! Today I had a chicken sandwich named "George" and a pint of chocolate milk named "Susan"!

@TylerH yuck. it was bad enough that they rebooted TOS with movies, but a new series as well? gene must be rolling in his grave

Meh, I thought the new Star Trek movies were fine, and if this series helps to get more kids interested in space, it'll be a success in my eyes.

But I know I'm in a different camp from the old "we lived through the original" camp that tends to hate everything new

i didnt see the movies, but, why does everything need a remake?

The only thing that's known according to the article is that it will likely take place in the same continuity as the two recent movies

the movies don't need an excuse

movies are made to entertain people and make money

Room Meeting - Regulars please attend

What happens at the room meetings?

We don't know yet, we have an agenda and we will see what happens but as one of the Room Owners I think we need a little bit more common understanding of our rules and how we think we should operate as a room

Will there be a transcript available if we can't attend?

So we'll try to discuss some points and get feedback.

@PaulRoub I assume we have the meeting in this room but I'm not going to write a memo about it ;)

So yes, the meeting is in public, unless we decide to move it to a gallery room but then the transcript will still be available
