I'm feeling a little guilty. Saw a question this morning that should have been closed - a google search would have turned up the answer. But no, I answered the question instead. And the answer got upvotes. More than some that I've spent a weekend figuring out. Sigh.

Answers don't have titles or tags etc.

That applies to all edit links and pulls the post id from the clicked link.

Yeah. Answers DO have an ID, but it's only in the URL if you've used the answer's link.

Well, I've traced it loading up to the button bar, almost there.

Yep. Figures out questionNum when first loaded, then uses it for placing the buttons.

I've got it appending... now I just have to track down a couple bugs. And do a bit of testing.

I set a new app global App.globals.targetID = targetID after the if clause in the init function, then changed the reference from globals.questionNum to globals.targetID

fixit required all of the selections to exist in order to run, it would fail if one was missing. a simple if(!input) return false; at the beginning of fixit solves the problem.

Nope. The id for the edit window is different than the questionID... same problem.

Actually... I'm in the suggested edits queue. Maybe others are different... but unlikely.

Why you'd target H&I, I don't know... it's always empty.

More likely it's never worked, and just got left there.
