@Tunaki so let me get this straight: the "error" refers to "errors made by the community by reopening", right?

Error means "you hammered but it was reopened and the post is still open now"

So perhaps the hammer slipped a little.

I'm quite hammer-happy. I do it in the first instant of the question's existence to end its life before it flourishes or not. But the Java community is quite anti-hammer, it'll argue for everything (but look the variable is called i not j! it's not a dupe!)

2% here according to the data explorer query, shog's meta post had me listed at 6%

@cimmanon Nice. Yeah the query by Shog counts posts that are still closed or that you reopened yourself. I feel they do not count towards being an "error".

@AndrasDeak Yeah. There was an instance just today. I hammered a question and a very high-rep said "You need to do A and B and C that is much better than what the linked Q proposes". To which I answered: oh look at the most upvoteed accepted answer: it says to do A and B and C.

People take "I hammered this" as "I think it is a very bad question", which is completely false. I've even upvoted questions I hammered because they were better phrased.

what gets me are questions that get reopened for no reason. take this one, the guy didn't even give a reason or clarify why its not a dupe. he just voted to reopen his own question and 4 other lemmings followed: stackoverflow.com/questions/35714148/…

what also happened: the question is horrible and makes no sense. I hammer to a question targeting one of the many problems of the Q. The goal is to just end its misery. But, it was somehow reopened because "it is not a perfect dupe". Now reopened, it is unsalvagable...
