I have been downvoting people that answer obvious dupes but I have decided that a better way to spend my rep is to give it away to those that are working to clean stuff up. If anyone deserving is within 1000 points of close vote privileges or delete vote privileges be sure and point them out to me when I am around. I figure giving away 1000 points to someone that deserves it is better than down voting 500 peoples answers that do not care.

when yr working on group work at what point is it insulting to come in and refactor someone's work to apoint it's unrecognisable

@PraveenKumar if you're working on a project in a group and someone completely rewrites all your work to a point of deleting classes and rewriting everything it's pretty insulting.

@PraveenKumar I had to pick my mum up to take her to a funeral and it's like I don't exist in my own project.

it's more about project etiquette, if a project owner adds someone as a collaborator.. is it ok for that collaborator to refactor ALL the project owners code when the owner is offline. No consultation.

I was putting up a framework using an undocumented api, that I was learning as I used.. and just got it functional before I had to travel to the country. I knew it needed to be refined and I was excited and happy to be builing my first chatbot, that is a protoype for the SE site

It was being refactored on the fly, as I met with restrictions of the api.. so it had some repetitive code that needed to be refined.. but that's the fun of the creation.. refining it and making it your own.

@Ferrybig Exactly, it was just done on the fly, to be able to communicate with the bot and to make it interesting for users in the testing facility

I needed to just know how to build a chat bot (first one) and then turn my attention to helping Sam

Like the renaming etc, it was an idea in creation

@PM2Ring totally agree, it was done with good intentions, it's just I was my baby and I implemented those feature quickly, as I knew we had personal business to attend to and I could then come back to my baby (proj) and do more work.
