Q: What is the performance difference between gawk and ....?

This question has been discussed here on Meta and my answer give links to a test system to answer this. The question often comes up about whether to use gawk or mawk or C or some other language due to performance so let's create a canonical question/answer for a trivial and typical awk program...

Were any of the points made in the meta-post actually ever addressed?

Or is there some other reason this question should stay?

Q: Win 10 Drive Missing

Just upgraded to Win 10 and I lost my H: drive it is not visible in either the bios or the disk manager. I have removed it and test it in another machine. Another drive place in the slot does not show up either Any suggestions, machine is a HP Z420 workstation

The problem is, if it's -3 and closed, I can probably roomba it, and it only needs one more downvote to take it off the front page.

This power is mostly useful for deleting bad answers to old, high view questions that aren't flaggable.

@DavidArenburg No. We shouldn't have a "special tag" for OT questions. If you see a bunch under a specific tag that need to be closed, keep the tag on the question so we can use it for filtering the close vote queue
