I generally try to go back to whatever revision was present when the flag was cast if I'm reviewing things as a moderator and handle based on that

I commented on a 5 year (!) old link only answer yesterday, and what do you know, the user edited it! Miracles do exist

If the user has only 1 post, it wasn't upvoted, the user is less than a week old, and their only post is deleted via red flag, I'm pretty confident that we don't want that user.

@TimCastelijns I usually check OP's profile to see if they were sighted recently before I ask for edits

PSA: if a post that SD reported is gone, but the user is still alive, use the postgone command, it will edit out the post link. gone can be used if both the user and the post are gone.
