try to get the items which are all needed for your custom view. like if u need only name try to get only id and name. if u need only name , image and id then take that only it will reduce some time.

r u using query?

in content resolver every time?

i am using cursors to obtain list,I see many contact apps in there details there is a part named data which ha s size ~100kb to 200kb but my data size is 0
