Stackless branch now has successfully made it through a bootstrap build (e.g. used as its own r3-make)... usual caveats on exactly what level of "stackless" has been accomplished. But, it's the first time it has done so.

@johnk Oldes now has his own copy of the issues database for R3-Alpha, and I'm blessing his project as "the only living development branch of R3-Alpha". So anyone using it who follows that should be sending issues to him. :-)

Given that being the case, I'm not sure if I want the new project to be resident on GitHub or GitLab, or a hosted GitLab instance. If the GitHub lowest-common-denominator is used, then it would be nice if https://github.com/rebol/rebol-issues was transferred in location and ownership to be alongside the project so I can continue using it and triage it as appropriate for that project, vs. trying to be neutral.

@HostileForksaysdonttrustSE One of the major troubles with github is imo that you can only search the original repo, not in a fork.

But it's a pretty big cliff, these other people are charging 80 euro a month and still limit you to 10 users somehow. Then the other option is administrate it yourself via Docker. I dunno. Seems if they can offer the world for free if you use their URLs then a $10/mo open source plan for your URLs shouldn't be so hard to give.

It's all about captivity.

(No money, married with children y'know) At such a rate it definitively for such a small project this moment in time, hosting own website is cheaper. (Though integration with some travis could be hard) Then there is another question, we need github or could also go fossil fossil-scm.org

@iArnold Fossil does looks interesting; I recall Kaj used it. I suppose Git "makes sense" to me for what it is, and it would really be choosing another battle in an infinity of battles to work with something else.
