I've looked through the .travis.yml and I think that I need to change

mv libr3.js "${OS_ID}/lib${NEW_NAME}.js"
mv libr3.wasm "${OS_ID}/lib${NEW_NAME}.wasm"
mv libr3.js.mem "${OS_ID}/lib${NEW_NAME}.js.mem"
mv libr3.worker.js "${OS_ID}/lib${NEW_NAME}.worker.js"
change all of those mv to cp
Anything else?
I'm hoping that this line ` for i in $OS_ID/*; do upload $i; done` does all the copying to S3

change mv to cp so that new named copies are made of the emitted binaries. After they are uploaded to S3, we can access these binaries by their compiled names eg. r3.exe

 
That is a 32 bit pointer! Does not compute on my machine. One thing is sure, no delivery today.
It is best to concentrate on Core and web for the mainline. Improve the build process and have a view for the experimentors that is largely independent of the core.

I did not know this, but Lubuntu is based on a "Lite" version of Qt: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LXQt
It switched from whatever else it was using. That's good. It does mean that a /View based on Qt could potentially be a lot smaller than it was, and still be cross platform... I remember when Qt Lite came out in 2017 or whenever, but seems they're still at it...

@Feeds How does a "debug" build work? (This 'error' also is in REN-C)
 
@iArnold There are various levels of debugging, and perhaps the right term for the "debug" builds put up is actually "checked". e.g. there are additional asserts compiled in that are a bit paranoid.
Other things you might find in debug builds are symbol tables that let a debugger provide you with more information of how the compiled code corresponds to the source...so you can step through the C line by line vs. have to sift through anonymous assembly code.
The "debug" builds Travis makes do not have those symbols, just the paranoid asserts.
Yet another aspect of debugging is to not run the optimizer, because the optimizer makes the assembly that gets generated rather convoluted...so you no longer can step through cleanly line by line. It reorders and scrambles the statements, so you could say "step over this line" and it would jump to a line above that line, then the line below it, then back to that line again...
 
@giuliolunati Not sure it actually sent the two binaries to S3. Can you check?

@Edoc Since it was pre-recorded, I didn't think I'd have to edit it much...but decided taking the time to go through and do callouts and muck around more with it was worth it.

@HostileForksaysdonttrustSE From what I've gleaned in the short time here, I would agree. That latest vid says it all. However, as mentioned at the end of the presentation, Wasm needs to get to the Rebol -> Dom phase bypassing JS altogether to become uber.
