@giuliolunati A problem with defaulting to vaporization is that people want to write things like set [a b c] reduce [...] and so the slots really are intended to line up. I went with "blankification" instead of "voidification" in the null case because that was more compatible with Rebol2, but I'm not certain which is better. I'm pretty sure throwing out nulls entirely by default is risky...
