Further down the spiral of the "mindless world of complex modern software": Visual Studio is still updating every couple of days with multi-hundreds-megabytes of stuff. Last update was 10/18, here we are 10/22 with another 165 MB update.

Should support for VS building be dropped? Would clean up things and does anyone of the community use it? And do we foresee VS using developers coming in by the dozens SOON (tm)?
