@rlemon I would've expected a different answer than 'because that IDE is recommended and works better with a language'. Different IDE's offer emulators for devices, autocompletion
@STheFox "what is the advantage of using an IDE for a specific technology" the only one answer that would handle your question is "because it is more productive" otherwise you'll have a five page long list.

@TylerH didn't notice it until now because I wasn't utilizing the second serial port. dtbo file doesn't address the device tree properly and the port is forever closed.
@TylerH we made our own add on board with two serial ports - we only ever used the one port, so the device tree only identified that port -- I remember stopping there now with the intent on fixing it for both... but clearly never did
When I hover an img in the .work class, it does hide in jQuery, which means the jQuery part acts correctly but there is a weird movement behaviour in my .work class div.

I know hence I keep those doubts to clear in that calc... so its about arrays, well arrays are object, fine, but in js we cannot have key: val pairs in array, but when I do something like var test = [1,2,3]; and then I do test['neh'] = 1; so if I put test in cosole it returns the array but if I do console.log the property is set as a key value pair in that array.. now that is not what something I was expecting...
so any idea how does the array datatype is stored that even if I call the array it actually ignores the property
yea, I did learned prototypes and it makes sense if we put down like this var test = new Array(1,2,3) and so on, so I compare it with a custom prototype function... but still I don't get it that how is 1 2 3 stored ... may be am getting into internals but am not sure

The first step of my extension lets the user upload a file via either <input type="file"> or via drag n drop. Does it make more sense to have a next button to go to the next step or should it automatically go to the next step once a user has selected a file?
there is a back button, however the next step won't necessarily show the file they have chosen. My concern is that they might accidentally select the wrong file and not notice. Thoughts?
