Well, it's a callback from a URL that is appended to a script tag. So once it's appended the window.filter function seems to be firing... it's not giving any errors or anything. Let me try to reverse the order and see if it has an effect

order doesn't matter so it's being called by the appended URL

@ZachSaucier ohh. you are creating a script element. You are passing a reference to the callback function in that script. the function must be global (as JS is OO, a method on the window object) for the tumblr script to call it.

You'll notice that on an MDN article about an HTML tag, It has a spec for Tag omission

in this case:

Tag omission: None, both the starting and ending tag are mandatory.

If tags can omitted, you should.

But that's something else

Well the biggest thing that is wrong there is the way you include your css

you should include it in a <link> tag

        <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/styles.css" >

although, as per HTML 5 spec, the type "text/css" is assumed for a lik with rel "stylesheet", so it can be omitted
