I want to apply style on currently opened <a> tag

for example <a href="" class="active"> </a> if it is opened . Rest of the a tags won't have that active class applied to them

no I have used psuedo class

or just .active or nav .active depending on your set up

it works but all the effects are gone when page is reloaded after clicking a tag

:active just means they are clicking on it

alright but I want to keep the effect even after when the page is changed

like if you are on ABOUT page, then ABOUT tab will be highlighted

in navigation bar

Should I versionify images (add a hash of the image contents to the filename)?
Pros: you can cache the image forever
Cons: makes sharing to third-party sites more difficult, either you keep old versions or images break.

I managed to make a logarithmic graph depicting the response times of our application so that we can check any slowing down of the application

So I was checking a client.. hmm, seems fairly concentrated around the middle, not bad, not bad.. this outlier here up top isn't that far from the middle, lets see the response time for this request.. OH MY GOD!

in our defense, a lot of it has nothing to do with our application and all to do with database blocking

It often depends.. we've seen that it doesn't really depend on the program being run

most requests are in the <1 second range thankfully

though on a logarithmic graph, it all seems reasonable :P
