Hey, guys. Anyone in here able to inform me of exactly what is happening when you call getElementById on a node? Does it return a reference to a DOM object or does it create a javascript object of a similar type to the DOM object (i.e. Node)?

yea, they were intriguing, higurashi is my top on that genre. FT is awesome too! Don't know why they abruptly stopped in between before continuing but I don't like being left with cliff-hangers so I avoid ongoing animes or at least till an arc ends
I have not been disappointed with an arc yet. And yes... for who knows what reason they have decided to watch it dubbed. We are so far in it would be really hard to switch
I have only seen bits and pieces. I'll be more committed when the original author finishes the manga. I just know it'll be one of those series that I'll be anxious for them to finish.
Yeah. I'm trying to be more well rounded with both backend and frontend, but I seem to keep defaulting to being the "CSS guy" at all the jobs I end up at.
I would love to work with Node.js. I've heard so much good about it. Have you looked much into Laravel or other similar frameworks that have been surfacing lately?
I have the opposite problem at the moment actually... They keep saying "make this" with absolutely no direction other than that it should look good and somewhat be like the rest of the site design XD
Unfortunately, yes. I can make the site just like the PSD and I can make a fairly nice interface, but anything more specific and I'm just hacking around at that point.
Huh. I'd give it a shot. I do generally like adobe products (dreamweaver doesn't count), so I'll keep an eye on it. Also, campaign monitor is good too. I really would like my company to use them for the actual email blasts.

@ICanHasKittenz problem is that my content isn't really so awesome to enshadow the design, I never touched it since I've coded it, and I thought it was a good show of my learning curve
so the design must really be good
or I might just rewrite all of the content in an efficient way

I think I will go with echo is_home() ? 'true' : 'false';
It's confusing, sprawling & unhelpful without any apparent benefit. I've been programming for 20+ years and never have I wanted 'false' to auto-convert to blank.. null many times, but never 'false'. My Java/Spring/Hibernate development is so so so much cleaner & stronger than even modest PHP systems. I could find plenty of people who were confused..stackoverflow.com/questions/9042002/…but I couldn't find any reference as to a real reason for this design "feature". — Thomas WJul 16 '13 at 10:04
