Q: How can i have an html table where a vertical scroll bar appears only if larger than screen

I have a web page with a html table in the middle of the page. Sometimes there are many rows so i want the table (not the full page) to have a vertical scroll bar added. If the table doesn't go off the page i don't want the vertical scroll bar to show. I also don't want to hardcode a specifc ...

If anyone has a better answer or thoughts on that ^^^ I'm interested

Would anyone be willing to help me with some animations I am hoping to include in my website? I am planning to create a fixed zombie that reaches out in the direction of my mouse. I think CSS transform can accomplish this through rotating the arms. However, I also want to make his palms open and close as if he was trying to grab for the mouse. How can I accomplish this animation in my webpage?

I have heard of SVG and my web searches have also taken me to Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash... it's a lot of information so I'm not sure where to begin

Wes, could you elaborate on the css animations/transitions? Also, I thought canvas could only draw basic images? I have only a basic knowledge of css and html (as in I know how to create and format a simple webpage but don't know all the different functions yet)

canvas is the most powerful option... try to ask in the javascript room where you can get a canvas tutorial

ha, yes there was an user that wanted to create an animated zombie trying to bite the mouse pointer

well if he made the animation in CSS it can follow the mouse easily with js

and you can even apply a 'bite' with some simple distance detection
