@sockevalley by using menu you can use only menu item only but if you create custom layout and set into Toolbar in ActionBar then you need to use toolbar object to initialize your control

@MukeshRana I did everything locally within the toolbar. Thanks to @Ninja I was managed to get the function to work properly with the switch. Ty so much Ninja. I was finally able to learn this. Been stuck with the toolbar for over 24h. If I would like a text to the right or left side of the Switch, can I simply just use the title/text within the Switch or do I need to create a seperate textView within the <Switch>?

Right now i m playing video using exoplayer .... with its controller like play pause etc
on video finished
its controller is still showing pause option and tapping on it is doing nothing
while my requirement is on video finish it should show Play button of controller and tapping on play will play video again from scratch

I was asking which type the button should be. ImageButton or Button? The issue with dealing with these is that they work with android:src and put the icon on top of a button or something.

Previously I was getting duplicate Id error so I added onDestoryView code

and after adding that code its give java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Invalid index 2, size is 2

and there is no null.
