Stella, usually how this works in communities like this, is that you start contributing and at some point, the "owners"/admins etc see that you are acting responsibly and contributing positively, and they add you to that group.
hi everyone, I would like to learn testing my apps. I think Kiwi is a good choice but I have no idea about TDD/BDD/Unit Testing. Do you recommend any tutorials/books?
pardnoj, TDD/BDD etc are concepts. You can read them about on the net. Or you can start with some specific testing framework/style and read about that in particular. This kinda also depends on the language/platform that you are developing on.
Kiwi seems to be a BDD lib, so, you can read a little bit about BDD concepts, and jump in and start using that lib

I want to implement drag and drop functionality in little different way. My scenario is: When user start to drag image, instead of dragging real image or moving it, I just want to drag its shadow using shadow builder. And the place where drag ends, shadow should disappear

@iAnum make a copy of that image in bitmap, apply alpha animation for transparency and in onTouchEvent() when dragging is done put bitmap at that location and remove transparency by removing alpha animation and delete original image from old position(if required)

@Manish I don't have to drag original image. I have a layout at bottom containing dozen of images. From there, user have to drag an image. That image should actually be not dragged. Instead image's transparent bitmap should be shown dragging. Where the drag will stop, I will place new Image there. Kuch smjme aya?
Ok. I have a SearchView and I have to show suggestions in a list. I am using an Adapter which extends CursorAdapter. I am sending a list that has 200 strings. But when I scroll down I see its doubled.
also at the 200th position I get IllegalStateException
One more thing I have to perform filtering of data when user enters a letter.... So then let's say I have 4 names starting with "A", its showing the 4 names 4times repeated
For started services, there are two additional major modes of operation they can decide to run in, depending on the value they return from onStartCommand(): START_STICKY is used for services that are explicitly started and stopped as needed, while START_NOT_STICKY or START_REDELIVER_INTENT are used for services that should only remain running while processing any commands sent to them. @Sephireth, it seems to be working for the notifications. However, if I have something in my code where I say, if time for the alarm to go off, then show new activity. The new activity pops up
the notification doesn't pop up immediately but the alarm for the new activity does
