I tried fcm from google cloud messaging.I created a simple app which can send push notifications and i successfully done that
but now I need to do the same in another application which has play service of older version for search activity and that is ('com.google.android.gms:play-services:6.1.71'). but fcm needs latest version,both are not compatible .
@Dhruv already I am using play service that is 'com.google.android.gms:play-services:6.1.71' but gcm need to use "com.google.android.gms:play-services-gcm:10.2.0" it gets conflict

@Shubhank am developing an application which has google search options using gps , but the code for search activity is done according to play service '6.1.71' if I replace it I am getting huge number of errors at location client etc...
now I got an Error Error:Execution failed for task ':app:processDebugGoogleServices'. > Please fix the version conflict either by updating the version of the google-services plugin (information about the latest version is available at https://bintray.com/android/android-tools/com.google.gms.google-services/) or updating the version of com.google.android.gms to 10.2.0. @nyconing

@nyconing i m creating a simple firebase application and trying to write into database, it needs INTERNET permission, and i have declared the permission in the manifest
API level is 23 and it requires the permission to be asked by the user manually as far as i know
i have asked for the permission but its not showing the dialogue
