in retrofit you just write an interface of functions and in the annotation for that function you write the endpoint, and the function parameter you put the get paramter (if its get request) or post parameters(if its post request) and retrofit generates an implementation of this interface

in the implementation code the code actually does the network request based on how you set up retrofit (to use either httpUrlConnection api or the OkHttp api) @Shubhank

@Bhargav well as per my experience, and i have not much Retrofit in android. you need to create the function/annotation end point and later you call them and pass back your response model

and all this code is generated by retrofit

yea it removes the work of writing a hell of a lot of boiler plate

actually iOS also had it easy past few years and now the NSURLSession API has been introduced

so a lot of syntax now, but i would still suggest to go with Alamofire.

thats what I inherited from my predecessor in my company

what you want more then boilerplate is a lib that is well tested, modern standards and with a strong community
