@CSᵠ Hey CS, yeat that's right, no subroutine calls in .NET either. While the lack of recursion takes a lot of effort to work around (balancing groups), you're not using it, so no worries—you just copy-paste the pattern in place of (?1). Sorry didn't look at the solution in detail, just the subroutine question. :)

Going for quick and dirty without bothering to even parse the headers, this could just be [^;]+\.jpg — unless we think this could naturally occur in the binary section
