In light of what you've said, okay, being kicked off the starboard was a miss-click on this occasion and timing was coincidental. But I don't really believe it was accidental every other time, and especially not the ones that have happened here in Metapython.
Anyway, that thing is just a minor gripe- I don't want to distract too much from the main issue here (if being repeatedly booted out of the room is $1, then being kicked off the starboard is just 1 cent)

@wim I can't answer to any other occasion because, would you have thunk it, there is no history in chat for me to search that specifically (that I'm aware of), so I'm not going to even try. It's speculation from both sides and it therefore won't be constructive. It's also not my interest to look into the past on this one.
Re: your request for elaboration. My underlying goal is just to try avoid clashes; that's it. I have very little part in what has rumbled on for years but I sure as hell feel the after-effects when I'm basically trapped in a house currently, and the only social interaction I have after work is around the SO room... and I come back to the same issue again.
I'll set out my limits; I'm not going to get involved with the de-RO'ing of people. I've drafted out further responses on what my approach might look like but hit a do-not-pass-go block with your suggestion that you "Didn't even make any mod flag yet".
It's your prerogative to raise flags if that's what you feel is right, but I'm not going to suggest ways forward in that case if your expectation of "y'all should have a fair chance to sort out the issues among yourselves first" is just to de-RO people. Maybe you see another way, but adding the "didn't even" suggests that you think that's you…

No that's not my expectation or the only way forward. Counter-productive RO should be removed, I don't understand why that's controversial to you at all, but another way forward would be to help counter-productive ROs to, uhh, not be counter-productive.
