@GeorgeStocker I'm starting to get the impression that Monica left because of conservative convictions, as it seems the christian mod left for. If this is the case, your actions, and the actions of basically the entire SE team lately would make a whole lot more sense and would be a lot less controversial.

@GeorgeStocker It would also explain why Monica didn't give any screenshots or specifics as to the conversation she had with Sara Chipps, and it would explain why she was "fired" for presumably "not doing anything yet", because it was a self admitted clear value set issue. It would also explain why she claimed to be civil, she probably was, but it was about what was essentially intolerance.

@opa Not to be picky, but there's 2 p's in Chipps.

Let's not speculate until we get more info from the SE team. I'm trusting them to give us an answer now.

In any case you don't become as widely esteemed a moderator as Monica if you're seemingly civil except intolerant. I'm not buying that. So let's take JL2210's advice and wait for further information. We have plenty of information already, some conflicting, and choosing a subset that fits our respective narratives won't help.

@AndrasDeak Again, they aren't going to clarify, Sara made that clear. And also plenty of people who do not tolerate trans people aren't normally "bad" people in every day life

@AndrasDeak I have no doubt that she was a great moderator or a great person to a lot of people, but even great moderators can hold prejudiced notions that are incompatible with inclusion.

It's hard to sort out all the things that are happening right now. But from my observations in, say, the previous year, I cannot shake of the impression that what comes in the disguise of "inclusiveness" is in fact dangerously narrow-minded and oppressive. Words and actions simply don't align. And if this is the case, it would be naive to assume that the officials could make an attempt to clarify things whatsoever.
