Aside from it being my natural inclination, the reason I spill a lot of words on this is that I recognize it is a delicate balance between being respectful to the candidates while also being able to make criticisms. "They were referencing one to another." the first question was closed as a dupe to a completely different question. I would assume one that contains the answer you seek but I'm not an expert. The second question was closed as a dupe to the first one. This is a somewhat common practice - sometimes people do post twice, due to an error somewhere. If a user posts two identical questions, the easiest is to close dupe close the second against he first, so they get a single set of answers, instead of splitting relevant answers between the two. — VLAZ 25 secs ago

@yivi I assume OP means the bug with double posting. Yes, ideally, we don't want it to happen but I do not think we can ensure it. There are all sorts of problems that can happen. Sometimes it is the site's fault because you post and you get an error (I've had that happen) but other times it might even be the network or something else. I once double posted an answer by accident because I got confused with many tabs open. I don't think the site can account for all possibilities of posting twice and all possible errors. When you edit yuor Stack Overflow profile, you have 4 buttons on top: "Profile", "Activity", "Developer Story" and "Edit profile and settings". If you click on Developer Story, you have to fill a form with: "Name", "Current location", "Preferred technologies" and "Job search status". I can't complete this form because, all the times I click on Done button I got an error "All fields are required". @David I had asked few questions that I had to deleted in the past. I easily got downvoted and many people said me few unwanted comments like , "kid, nobody will do homework for you, you are a little kid who does not want to do homework and expecting others to solve, how can you expect somebody to give suggestions". I never asked for any code, I just asked for the suggestions to start since google search also did not have appropriate answers. And at last some three random people closed my question. Dude, if you'd only do small research on your question: people who panic because you ASKED A QUESTION and downvote you and send you to other places as if they pay the bills of this website - are ugly, useless and usually much more stupid than you think. It is necessary for a question to be about coding, but not sufficient - there are plenty of coding-related questions that are off-topic here. I'd recommend taking the tour and reading things like How do I ask a good question? and (just as importantly) What types of questions should I avoid asking? to better understand how this Q&A model works and what's expected of questioners. — jonrsharpe 1 min ago

@Anonymous You should flag rude comments, they will get deleted. As for asking for suggestions - this already is very vague and shows that you did not invest enough into researching the problem yourself, otherwise you should already know what options there are or at least have a concrete idea about it. — T A 9 secs ago

@Anonymous: I don't really have a canonical answer for you, other than to read through the Help Center for information about the community. But perhaps a few tips from experience... (1) Definitely don't take down-votes personally. I've had my fair share for sure. If anything they're just an indication that the question can likely be improved, so focus on that because it drives you to your goal. (2) Even if technically correct about community policies, rudeness is not tolerated by the community nor should be tolerated by you. You can always flag blatantly rude comments. — David 1 min ago

@Anonymous: Even if you're stuck on where to start, you can always start somewhere. Consider that we have no idea what your experience level is or what specific thing has you stuck. Have you started with introductory tutorials and learning materials about the language you're using? (You might be surprised how many people skip that step.) Have you begun building your program? How far have you gotten? From the question linked in a comment above it sounds like you've built something and now need to parse data from a string. Did you Google that? What did you try?
