Suspensions are longish so you have a chance to see them. Since there is currently no way to send a "review suspension notification", this is only tool moderators have to make you aware your reviews were not having the intended effect. Does the 3rd edition bring any revisions to the content of that chapter? If so, then it's probably a good idea - if there was a problem with the information in the 2nd edition and the 3rd edition fixed it, then seems like an improvement to update it. The important bit that should come out of this suspension is that you understand the meaning of the triage buttons: "requires editing" means a question that is generally fine, but could use some fine polishing by third parties. "Unsalvageable" does not mean that it can't necessary be salvaged, but that if it can be salvaged it can only be done by the question author, and thus it needs to be closed until the post owner edits it into shape. Eventually they ask about their question on meta, we explain the reasons the question was closed, but now the only way to reopen the question is with a manual reopen vote (5). @Secur As an example of it working properly, this post entered the reopen queue a second time 1 hour after it exited the queue. In the case of that question, it had entered the reopen queue the first time due to an edit by the OP and the second time in response to a reopen vote. It looks like the task to move things into the reopen queue runs at approximately XX:45 and XX:15, and may take several minutes to complete (at least up to 5 minutes), so there may be a considerable delay between the reopen vote and the question entering the reopen queue. — Makyen 1 min ago
@SecurityHound If things work the way you state, based on your own observations, then you should be able to find an example of that happening. The only way you can know a post didn't enter/re-enter the reopen queue in response to a reopen vote is if you cast a reopen vote and see no reopen review entry in the timeline. To see the entry in the timeline, the review must be complete, which may be up to >14 days. However, this is an example of the failure with the current system. The author decided to edit their question, due to that edit it was thrown into the queue to be reopened, but because the edit did not address the real problems with the question it remains closed. From my understanding, This is not the act of a sleeper agent nor a did. There are 3 accounts in this story all 3 of them belong to you. The account 1 got question ban so account 2 was created. Account 2 was a sock puppet and got destroy(merge). So you made account 3, and miss understood the issue. You have access to account 1, account 2 is now gone and cannot be restore. While I don't completely agree with the conditions listed here, I do like the suggestion, and I agree with the spirit of this - making sure users understand SO. A small test or something is not a bad idea. Sure, it can be cheated and bypassed but currently people just bypass the whole tour and directly post questions that aren't suitable. So, prodding them to take the tour and pay attention to it is going to be of huge help. I do note that it spent 7 days in the reopen queue and received no reviews, which may indicate there's an issue with showing the review to users. I have not checked the reopen queue history to see activity during that time to check to see if there was something else going on. Amount of mistakes discovered during these checks seems to be very small so it looks reasonable to assume that most of his bans are correct. Indeed and I would support such a solution. I think it would even be totally appropriate to throw some rep at the users who complete this "intro course". For example 5 rep seems good - it can definitely get people started on the site while also avoiding them being able to edit protected posts. Users coming with the wrong expectation is one of the biggest problems, so some sort of education should help. Evidently simply having a help centre is not enough. @rafaelcastrocouto the security risk comes in the particular implementation they may choose for sharing user preference for theme to an origin that's supposed to be a sandbox. @VLAZ - You make some really good points. With regards to the duplicate system, one way to improve the duplicate system would be to allow the closure to actually target an answer on the duplicate target, whereby the targetted answer would then be pinned to the top of the answer list as if it were placed there, with votes, comments, etc. This could be done for each target in the duplicate list. However, that topic is for another day I believe, as it would take significant technical work, and is not as related to the refinement of the closure system itself which seems to be the current task. — Travis J 6 secs ago

In the question you link to I don't see a single mod interation (unlike this question). Voting to close, and downvotes, however, aren't "attacks" or "insults" towards you. On meta it likely means people disagree with you, on SO it means that people think the answer/question isn't helpful or lacks research. Nothing is saying "you're stupid". If someone does call you "stupid" you should be flagging that comment/answer as rude or abusive. — Larnu 27 secs ago

And I am super careful on SO to make sure I'm not asking duplicates and am writing good questions. And I treat up-votes and down-votes with the utmost respect. But my problem is specifically with reviewing. Every time it's something specifically with flags and meta and reviews, I'm told I'm stupid. I've had this issue with my Avatar as well. Seems to have happened when I opted to the Beta dark mode and back. I also use the SE App on my Android device, not sure if using the site from both have caused this problem. I meant to say I am a clueless beginner in FPGA. As you have noticed, I have asked quite a lot question in the past that were upvoted, and this is the first time I got down/close voted without a comment, which makes me extremely confused and unhappy. Thanks for your explanation, and that makes sense to me, but at this point I probably shouldn’t bother to edit such a heavily downvoted question. If only your comment comes earlier on the main site. If you want to take moderation actions as personal, it's on you, not the moderator.
