Looking over your recent rep changes you have, at most, gained 6 points on the c tag, most of those in the past 24 hours. If any of the questions you answered were also re-tagged then that easily accounts for the difference. The 550+ answer should have been at the top because it is the most upvoted and by quite a significant leap too. But after many years of the site's existence, the accepted answer is still pinned to the top so there is little reason to believe this behaviour will ever be changed. What I also don't believe is that people visiting the site are morons, they are going to see the 550+ voted answer, and also the comment stating the accepted answer is wrong. Did a change, basically what I am saying is , I see people are skipping new users questions, and sometimes I just look at those questions and they are trivial questions , and they stay unanswered for long time. The issue of drive-by questioners has been discussed many times on Meta. I doubt that stops anyone from answering questions. The lack of answers may have more to do with the fact that we get thousands of questions a day and all questions are competing with many others. I am very disheartened by this change. Recently I have seen a lot of bad questions that I would downvote (as would others) only to have a single person upvote (because they feel bad) to grant this extremely poorly written question reputation. It sucks. Here is a question from a user who wants to get spoon fed code and provides no meaningful work on their own, only to ultimately gain reputation. It's easy to provide a list of questions they looked at but couldn't find a copy-pastable answer in.
