I've mixed feelings about online meetings. It is nice that one can easily participate in meetings on the other side of the globe, the visual quality of having the slides on your own screen is usually better than having them projected on some wall, ...
BUT the audio quality is not always that great and unfortunately zoom seems to prioritize video over audio and if the internet connection is not super fast this can lead to many tiny pauses in the audio stream, which makes it really hard for me to actually understand what is said. Unfortunately this problem is even worse in hybrid meetings if the host tries to transmit via a slow wireless connection from a lecture hall.
