My scenario is, I got one searchview, I'll put a where clause in the query of loader in which I'll pass entered string in searchview

So I was expecting it to work automatically

So is it a good idea to start a loader in such case ?

I mean on entering every character restarting the loader ?

@TheLittleNaruto no no, don''t do it. If you want a loader, only do it when user stops typing and call is still executing for more than 2 seconds. Then only show the loader (I assume you are talking about progress dialog or something similar)
