if the consensus is ultimately to burn, AND we go with Machavity's suggestion, we won't necessarily need Gemmy anyway as the community will be working on a timescale rather than counting down to 0 questions. That said, it would be/would have been nice to have her monitor the tag in the meantime.

A: Should we burninate the [design] tag?

20k+ questions is a lot of questions (and answers) to review. I suggest we ask a community manager to remove the tag altogether and blacklist it. A retagging effort would be massive. Certainly the tag could be replaced with other tags, but I don't see how this could be viably applied in bulk.

it's easy for people to make comments. I like it when they will post as well and allow people to vote on what they have to say. Meta is easily derailed with comments.

I think SEDE would be the only way. You can search for THIS [tag] NOT INCLUDING [that] but I don't know of any way to get ONLY the tag
