It was mostly a sanity check, so much can be configured on the wpf controls

did not want to go the eventhandler path if it was not needed

the self reply works ok the little I have tested it

I struggled with phrasing the tri sort, maybe tri sort would be better?

I really feel event handler paths are like stop gaps in WPF to cover for situations that WPF team didn't foresee

well i just coined that from the Tri-state checkbox thing

really how many times have you actually reused your stuff?

while everybody talks about it - i find that if I'm reusing stuff, then I've stopped learning

because generally by the time i arrive at the same problem again, I've learned more than I knew in past and i have a better solution this time around

why do you want to use a stackpanel? perhaps dockpanel will serve you better?

take the last button out of your StackPanel and have it next to stackpanel

surround these two in a grid with two columns wiht last Column on AutoWidth

Grid will get you the right hand alignment while rest of stackpanel can stay as it is

no add another child in dock - an empty TextBlock

that'll act as fill, and you bottom will become bottom

right now bottom is full height while grid can only take 50px. thus it ends up in mid

i have a PreviewKeyUp event on a window that monitors for Escape key presses to close the window

but those events are firing even when the window is not focused

is that normal?

if op en my window, open task manager, cilck my window, click task manager, press escape, both windows close

try constraining PreviewKeyUp to container instead (like your grid)
