can't really get my head around the event aggregator pattern. I think I understand the concept but I am wondering how the instantiation works for the eventAggregator class and how this is accessible for the viewmodels to publish/ subscribe. Trying to work with the prism library.

I have a separate library for a few custom controls which have to attach detach to each other. the xaml for these controls are in the Generic.xaml.

Maybe I am thinking about this all wrong, most likely actually.

you can make it available via dependency injection

if you use prism

the type 'MouseDragBehaviourComponent' (my behavior class) from UIBlocksLib is built with an older version of the blend SDK, and is not supported in a windows presentation framework 4 project.

tried installing blend SDK (newest) which supports 4.0 and 4.5 and older versions/ messing with this stackoverflow.com/questions/32024034/… and that didn't work for me either.

at least newest a nuget that I could find

I've been looking at screenshots posted here since a while ... are you guys all using the dark theme ? Haven't your eyes melted from switching from VS to the all-white background Windows Explorer or Web browser or anything else built-in the OS which is shining white ?

Apparently it works again, not sure what fixed it because I hadn't even tried checking the dlls yet but the error randomly disappeared after rebuilding and cleaning a million times out of frustration.

the dark theme is the best
