@Bravo Looks like the issue with FF scrolling wildly had to do with setting custom default font-size. I had Default Font Size set to 14 down from 16. I later experienced the same on a page where I did use server.

Looks like v 100+ is better, but not sure.

It is hard to reproduce.

It appears, - and when I try to make a mock-up it does not appear. Then it works fine, then it goes bananas

I.e. font.size.variable.x-western in about:config or under Fonts on the Settings page

Found that I if I did a delayed window.scrollTo(window.pageXOffset, window.pageYOffset) it "solved" the issue as well.

Looks like pageYOffset is not correctly set internally after rendering

Even with mutation observer I have to add a 500+ms delay on scrollTo

If I do it too early on page refresh the page jumps to the position I usually get to when the scroll goes wild (on toggling of element).

I'm not sure about the font-size thing though as the reproducibility is sketchy at best.

But it appeared and I reset it to 16 and it went away. Back to 14 and it re-appeared. Back to 16 and it went away etc.

Doing scrollTo after I'm 100% sure everything is loaded fixes it each time though.

Main reason I'm not sure about the font-size thing is that I can swear I tested in a untouched profile of the browser.

Where the issue presented itself.

After loop: const observer = new MutationObserver(() => { window.scrollTo(window.pageXOffset, window.pageYOffset); observer.disconnect(); });

observer.observe(li, {attributes: false, childList: true, subtree: false});

And then finally wrap.appendChild(fragment)

Observer is observing last li element added to fragment / DOM

JavaScript uses static (lexical) scoping. But is this statement true, 'this' value is dynamically scoped, unless used in an arrow function? Because, the value of 'this' is determined and provided by exactly by caller.

@DamodaraSahu this isn't dynamically scoped. It's similar to how dynamic scoping works but it isn't itself dynamically scoped. To put it simple, this is just another parameter to a function. One that can be supplied implicitly or explicitly. In either case, it's not much different if you had function foo(bar) { /* do something with bar */ } - the point is that the value is supplied to the function. It's not looked up like dynamic scoping does it.
